It has been a while since I hit you with a Fab Five. In the past I enjoyed putting out a list of my most recent favorite things. However, I didn’t want to force it and put out a list weekly just for the sake of doing it. So, I took my time and made sure that I had a list that I felt was worth sharing with you all. I think most of my list is pretty “fall season” forward. Then again, the way the weather is set up here in the mid-west it may seem to feel more like a summer list of faves. Any-hoo…here are my Fab Fives!
Target Sales

I’ve done my best to avoid Target so far this year. Except for the occasional grocery shopping (while avoiding Walmart), I don’t frequent Target. However, due to random scrolling on Instagram I’ve noticed all the great additions to Target’s inventory just in time for the fall season. They have reasonably priced decor. I picked up a cute teal pumpkin for $5! On a separate trip I snagged a cute pair of slim fit skinny jeans for $15! You read that right…15 dollars. Target is always running a sale on something. And that’s not even mentioning their Cartwheel App and their clearance items.
Starbucks Iced Coffee

For years my go-to drink at Starbucks was the Iced Caramel Macchiato. Of course in the cooler months I opted for the hot version. But in an effort to cut back on my sugar and dairy intake (and overall unnecessary junk intake) I decided to change up my item of choice. To be honest the amount of sugar in several of the drinks at Starbucks is ridiculous. The Iced Caramel Macchiato has 24 grams of sugar! I switched to the Iced Coffee-No Classic. I usually add two pumps of caramel to the order just for an added sweetness. I think in time I will leave out to the addition of the caramel.
Formula 10.0.6 Thirst No More! Moisturizer

This summer I put out my new skincare regimen post for my oily (but also combination) skin. Boy, do I need to release an update on that post! My skin took a turn for the worse not too long after that post. The problem with that regimen was not the moisturizer. However, I did feel the need to use a thicker moisturizing skin cream for the cooler months. I decided to stick to the same brand, just a different formula. I purchased the Formula 10.0.6 Thirst No More! Moisturizer because of the ingredients list, the lightweight yet thick consistency, and the discreet fragrance. I really love this product to usher my skin into the fall.
Football Season is Back

I didn’t begin really watching football until college. My enjoyment for the game has grown so much, especially since meeting my husband. I am so excited that the season has officially started. The Green Bay Packers are my team and have been for quite some time. They did not have the best season last season, but they have made some personnel changes. The starting QB (Aaron Rodgers) is healthy. If this season is even a smidge better than last year than I will be happy. I’m also hoping the Cleveland Browns have at least one more win than they had last season.
My Husband/God’s Love
We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday (#virgoseason). I’ve always enjoyed celebrating birthdays. I especially enjoy it when I can celebrate the birthday of someone I love. I was at a loss for words when filling out the birthday card for him this year. When people say, “Words can’t describe what you mean to me”, I now know exactly what they are talking about. Each year I grow to love him more. When I met my husband, I didn’t expect to fall in love. For certain God placed him into my life at the right time. Him being in my life has improved my attitude, my self-esteem, and my perspective of what really matters at the end of the day.
