73 Questions: Vogue Parody

After reading Gillian Finn’s tag for the 73 Questions: Vogue Parody, I decided to take a crack at it. I don’t know if I’ve ever done a post like this, besides my occasional Fab Five posts.1. What is your usual Starbucks drink?

A tall iced coffee, with 2 pumps of caramel, light ice, and no classic (no milk–lactose and I don’t get along).2. What does your work station look like?

A slightly organized, yet cluttered mess.  I’m one of those people who always has to have an area of my environment that is not so neat and polished.  I’ve been that way since childhood.3. All-time favorite food?

Soul food.  4. Favorite author?

Stephen King.  He’s a little twisted and I like it.5. What do you think of open relationships?

It’s not my thing.  Honestly, I feel like three’s a crowd.  Throw a few more people in the mix and you’re definitely asking for trouble.  But to each his/her own.6. What’s your favorite video game?

I grew up with brothers who were gamers (and still are).  However, I’ve never been into them.  But Mario Kart is my jam when the moment calls for it!7. What’s your guilty pleasure treat?

A Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate candy bar.8. Your favorite movie?

This is seriously one of the hardest questions.  Too many to list.9. Favorite book?

Currently IT by Stephen King.  It’s really good!10. Best advice you’ve ever received?

Instagram.  I’ve never had a Twitter account and I don’t want one.12. Are you a desktop or a laptop person?

I get way more done on a desktop.  However, I love having a laptop.13. What projects are you working on right now?

I am writing my 3rd book! It’s been quite the “process” because it’s different from my previous works.  I am also planning blog and YouTube content for 2020!14. What’s your favorite color?

It used to be green.  However, I’m slowly loving black more.  Maybe it’s the moodiness of fall creeping in.15. Did you get good grades in school?

Yes, in everything except math.  I’m more of a letters girl.16. Dream job?

Creating fun and engaging content while not being tied to a desk.17. Played any sports?

I went through my athlete phase between 11 and 16 years old.  I played basketball, ran track, and attempted soccer.18. Do you have a degree?

Yes, and I’m still paying for it. I don’t regret obtaining my degree at all!19. Nationality?

I have one, very vain, tattoo.  28. What are you most grateful for this year?

I’m always grateful for God’s grace and mercy.29. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this month?

I’ll speak for October (it’s too early in November right now).  I paid off my car in October! Woop woop!30. What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today?

Hanging out with David, for a little while before work.31. What’s the best thing ever?

Laughing! I love to laugh.  I feel like a good laugh can lighten up any heavy mood.  It can also turn a good day into a great day.32. Favorite season?

Thanksgiving. Bring on the food and the naps!34. What fictional character do you relate to the most?

A mash-up of the ladies from Sex and the City.  I have a little bit of Charlotte’s classiness and I am a hopeless romantic. I’m very much Miranda with her brains and wit. I love that Samantha walks on the wild side and has ambition.  And true to my Capricorn nature, I am like Carrie with my overthinking and loyalty to my friends.35. Do you like surprises?

Yes, i do.36. What’s the biggest surprise you’ve ever had?

David proposing.  I was not expecting it at all that day…I would have dressed better.37. What’s the surprise that made you cry?

Giving my god-kids money.  They are at the age where they are so excited about having their own money.39. Do you like muffins?

Yes, blueberry muffins (warmed) are my favorite.  A close second would be banana nut bread muffins.40. Do you cook often?

It used to be a brownie fudge sundae (from Braum’s).  But me and dairy had a falling out, so now it’s to be determined?????42. Is there a dessert you dislike?

Super sticky desserts or desserts covered in maple or syrup.43. Cake or pie?

Pie.  There’s nothing like a good pie crust.44. What’s your least favorite food?

I know I said I love soul food, but I don’t like black-eyed peas (which are a soul food staple).  I also don’t like mac n’ cheese (I said what I said).45. What’s your favorite condiment?

Salt.46. It’s 4 am on a Saturday night, what would you eat?

I would prefer to be asleep. But if I am up…pizza or fries.47. If you could teach a college class, what would it be called?

On our third date, David informed me that he purchased his entire outfit earlier that day.  He wanted to look his best and impress me.  It was the cutest thing because if he hadn’t told me I wouldn’t have known.50. The best thing to do on a first date?

A laid back restaurant or bar with low music.  Sit and talk.51. The worst thing to do on a first date?

Anything with loud music or where your attention is going to be pulled away.52. What’s the funniest pick-up line a guy could use on a girl?

Any of the pick-up lines Will used on the Fresh Prince of Bel-air53. Best comic book character?

Wolverine.  A close second is Spider-man because I read a few of those comics as a kid (my brothers comics).54. What are three things that are always in your purse?

Chapstick, lotion, and my gym lock (so I never forget it).55. Favorite drink?

Slightly cooler than room temperature water.56. If you could play a historical figure in a movie who would it be?

Maybe Florence Griffith Joyner (Flo-Jo).  She was a track phenom with style.57. Kittens or puppies?

It’s called The Lisa from Sushi Train here in Tulsa, OK.  It’s hard to go wrong with tempura shrimp.59. What kind of lipstick do you use?

I don’t wear a lot of lipstick, but when I do it’s usually a shade from Ruby Kisses or NYX.60. What kind of foundation do you use?

I don’t have one.  I think Jada Pinkett Smith cleans up nicely.63. Favorite Disney character?

It used to be Pocahontas.  Then it became Mulan.  Mulan was the first kick-ass, non-dainty, Disney princess. 64. What are doing tomorrow?

Going to work, then hanging out with my favorite guy, David.65. A movie you laughed the hardest through?

Life (1999).66. A movie that made you cry?

The first movie to make me cry was The Color Purple.  The Lion King was second.  67. If you could sing a duet with someone, who would it be?

I follow several illustrators on Instagram.  I can’t really pick a favorite though.71. A person you want to have coffee with?

  A toss up between my maternal grandmother and my father (both are deceased).72. What country do you wish to visit?

I’ve never been out of the country, so I am eager to visit several.  Several African countries, Japan, South America, etc.73. Best way to decompress?
