Fall Bucket List

autumn moments

Hey y’all!

The time of the year for flannel shirts, college football, and gooey s’mores by the fire is here! One or all of those things I listed may not be on your checklist of activities for autumn but don’t let that stop you from creating a list of fun things to do this cool and crisp season. If you need some ideas, here is my fall bucket list!

  • Attend a Football Game – Fall season goes hand-and-hand with football season. Find a college level or professional team to cheer for and go all in!
  • Decorate Pumpkins – There are several diy decorating tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube that can help you make your pumpkin stand out.
  • Learn Cooking Recipes for Cooler Weather – Chili, chicken and dumplings, and stew are perfect to warm you up when the nights get cold.
  • Fall in Love with a Comfy Sweater –  Be well-dressed and comfortable this season by finding that great outfit.

Feel free to use this list to get you started on having a great fall!

Check out my Fall Favorites video to see what I’m loving this season!

This past weekend was such a beautiful weekend. David and I couldn’t wait to get out and enjoy the weather. We decided to make a few stops at some local events. We had a great time and of course we want to share it with you.

Our first destination was Art on Main in Jenks, OK. We arrived and David grabbed something to eat right away. There were a few local food trucks that I am familiar with. David decided on a pulled pork sandwich from The Local Table food truck. Once he finished we walked around admiring the art showcased at several of the art booths (tents). Live music, face painting and inflatables for the kids were on the scene. Of course art was on display by the artists. There were some awesome pieces available for purchase. A few of the artists that we were impressed with were Chris Hopkins and Kris Fairchild. Both artists reside here in Oklahoma.

Since we didn’t plan on purchasing any pieces of art we decided to cut our stay short.

Our second destination was Oysterfest 2016 at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa. Live music and a variety of booths offering their own oyster presentations were a part of the event. We looked around and took in the atmosphere before purchasing our tickets to try a few of the oyster choices. The money raised goes to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. We tried three booths total. I’ll be honest oysters are a required taste but I can see why some people find them tasty. There is a light seafood flavor to them. If they are prepared a certain way they can be spicy and/or smoky.

We had a wonderful time seeing what the Tulsa area had to offer this past weekend. I hope you got out there to enjoy the fall weather.
