Travel Bloggers and Vloggers You Should Follow!

TRAVEL

Hey ya’ll!

Everyone needs a little motivation or better yet inspiration from time to time. You could be a singer drawing inspiration from Andrea Bocelli or Usher. Or maybe you’re a cook inspiring to be the next Anthony Bourdain. Everyone looks to someone to inspire them or simply someone to motivate them to get back on the horse and keep going. As a novice traveler I often need a push to get back out there and see new things. I thought I would share with you some of the bloggers and vloggers (video blog) who continue to spark my interest in the great big world out there!

Louis Cole

Deciding to create the Colormyfootsteps YouTube channel was not an easy decision. I went back and forth over all the things that could make it a bad idea. When I did a little research into the idea one of the first YouTubers I came across was Louis. I think I binged watched for at least 2 hours, lol (each of his videos are approximately 12 minutes…so yeah I watched a lot of videos). It was so cool to see him go from place to place so carefree. I felt so inspired by him. Out of everyone on my list, Louis, probably has the most stamps in his passport. His motto is “Live The Adventure”, that statement in itself should be enough to make you want to get off the couch.

Brooke Saward

I actually stumbled upon Brooke on YouTube because I wanted to use the word “wanderlust” as part of my blog/brand name. You can tell that Brooke is well traveled and her joy of travelling truly shows in every post on her media platforms. Her blog and YouTube channel offer helpful travel hacks and tips. Brooke has also written books dedicated to her travels. I think the biggest thing I have learned from Brooke, so far, is sometimes you have to give up what you want now for what you want most.

Becca and Alex Foss

One day, about 6 months or so ago, I received a notification that a WordPress user was now following my blog. I thought,  “cool”. So I checked them out to see if I wanted to subscribe to them as well. Little did I know that I would absolutely love what I found. Becca and Ross are a traveling couple (along with their hairless dog) who live out of their camper and pretty much go where they desire. I always look forward to their blog posts. Their posts are always heartfelt and interesting. They also take beautiful pictures (why can’t my camera seem to do that?). If you’re not interested in subscribing to their blog at least follow them on Instagram. I’m sure you’ll be in awe.

Alli Speed

I actually found Alli via Louis Cole (mentioned above). I believe he was on a Contiki trip for Youtubers in Asia and Alli was one of the YouTubers. I gravitated to her humor and different perspective of showcasing the culture around her. Alli does travel often, some is nationally but a lot is international (her boyfriend, Chase, lives in South Korea). Alli is a natural in front of the camera and always seems to enjoy herself while on the road. She also lives in Florida, which makes her random vlogs at home seem pretty cool.

Tracey Coleman

I came across Tracey on Instragram. Almost every photo she was either eating something yummy or frolicking on the beach somewhere. I just knew I had to see more of her world. Tracey stays busy on the road but she also gives us a peak into her neck of the woods, Brooklyn. She was included in the list of Essence magazines “9 Travel Instragrams You Should Follow” in 2015. That alone should make you want to see what she is up to. Right now she is making me want to plan a trip to the next carnival season in the Bahamas!

That’s my list y’all! If you think that you have been bitten by the travel bug or maybe you are just a weekend road warrior, I hope this list has added a few faces to reference when you are sitting at home wondering where to go next. Take care and safe travels!
