Do you remember the Fabulous New You Conference I attended a few weeks ago? Well truth be told I almost didn’t go. Leading up to that conference I wanted to go but wasn’t sure I could make it happen. Despite my reluctance I decided to go because of two things, 1) I had a feeling it would give me the mental boost I needed and 2) I might meet potential Fellow Okies. And you know what?? Both of those things happened. I met Ms. Margo Gianos at that conference and was in awe. I spoke with her briefly about the business, Honestly Margo, and was very impressed. She mentioned that she knew from a young age that she wanted to own her own business. Margo is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about her product. I was a little nervous about asking her to be a Fellow Okie, she’s a busy young woman after all, but to my surprise she was for it. Read further to see what Honestly Margo is all about.

My name is Margo Gianos
- What is the name of your company? Is the company based in Oklahoma?
The name of my company is Honestly Margo and it is based out of Oklahoma.
- What city in Oklahoma do you call home?
I live in Oklahoma City
- What cities in Oklahoma have you lived in?
Oklahoma City is the only place I have lived
- What’s your favorite thing about Oklahoma? Compared to other places you have traveled, what stands out most about Oklahoma?
My favorite thing about Oklahoma is that the people here are always so friendly which also stands out to me compared to other places I have traveled.
- Tell me a little bit about your company.
Honestly Margo is an all natural lip balm and body balm company. My products only have four ingredients and Honestly Margo is in many retailers across the country.
- What are your goals for the company?
I want everyone to know the name Honestly Margo! 🙂 I want to grow my company as much as I can.
- It can be hard to stay motivated. How do you keep the momentum going?
When school gets difficult and I get busy with soccer that is when I get unmotivated. I always want to grow it (the business), it’s just I might go to bed early that night instead of reply to emails. I always do the work that I need to though and I never really get very unmotivated. I just have to look at where I want my company to be and work on getting it there.
- How can others help you achieve your goals?
Other people can help me achieve my goals by simple sharing my story with their friends! Following me on social media is greatly appreciated and I love it when people hit the share button on something I’ve posted on Facebook. I love when people share how much they love my products too. 🙂
- What is your advice for entrepreneurs, from the youngest to the more mature, on beginning their own businesses?
Follow your dreams, whatever it may be and don’t let haters get to you. People are always going to shoot your ideas down, but you just have to put your hater blockers on and tune them out!
