Go on down to San Antonio! My 2014 Christmas trip!

I want to begin by saying “Merry Christmas Everyone”! I know that’s pretty late of me but I was a little on the busy side around the holidays, please forgive my tardiness.  I hope y’all had a safe and blessed Christmas wherever you were and with whomever you spent it with.  My Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were both spent in San Antonio,  Texas visiting my brother and his wife.  I won’t lie to y’all I wasn’t looking forward to traveling to San Antonio. The last time I was there I got lost approximately 5 times (and that’s with a GPS, lol don’t judge me). This time however was a 180 degree difference.

We (my boyfriend, my brother and I) checked into the Embassy downtown (compliments of my Aunt TT) and then set out with my older brother and his wife to look at our surroundings. Luckily for us the Embassy is not far from The Riverwalk, but unfortunately for us since it was Christmas Eve very few places were open but we got a pretty good grasp of the concept.  The Riverwalk was really festive.

After wandering around for about 2 hours we called it a night.

The next morning we (along with my Aunt TT) enjoyed a big delicious breakfast provided by Embassy. We then headed to my older brother’s place for Christmas time! We watched a few movies and of course ate.

Since we were headed back home the next day we cut the festivities off around 6 and headed to our 2nd hotel for our stay. We decided to stay at the Hyatt Place downtown for our second night to save some pennies. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt many times before and I can’t remember a time when I’ve been disappointed. We decided to unwind at the bar and call it a night.

We set off Friday morning headed back to good ol’ Oklahoma.  We stopped in Austin on the way back to visit for a little while with my grandparents. Of course they couldn’t let us leave without offering to feed us…and we gladly accepted.  Sorry I forgot to pull out the camera for pictures but believe me we had a nice time.

The trip was a success in so many ways and I had a great time.  I now have a better outlook on San Antonio and what it has to offer.  I would definitely visit again.

Great time with family and I'm glad I gave San Antonio another chance.
