Brace yourself people…we are now in holiday season. I have a good friend named Hannah who hipped me to the game a long time ago…basically always have yourself a snack handy because you never know when you’ll get hungry. We all know hungry can easily lead to “hangry” (hungry+angry) if we are not prepared. Nothing sucks worse than being out and about, whether traveling or enduring an errand filled day, than feeling faint because you can’t remember the last time you’ve eaten that day. Here is my review of on-the-go snacks to nourish you while you’re hustling and bustling from one place to another. *Disclaimer some of these snacks I tried for the first time recently others are my stand by goodies.

This is my second month trying products from Nature’s Box. Nature’s Box is a snack subscription company that prides themselves on offering a variety of natural snacks. Each month you can choose which snacks you want and how many items based on your subscription price. This month I received the Big Island Pineapple, Salted Caramel Pretzel Pops and Cherry Berry Bonanza. I gave the Big Island Pineapple package to my boyfriend because I have a slight allergy to pineapples (weird I know lol). He liked the flavor but wanted them a lil less chewy. Regardless he ate the entire package. The Cherry Berry Bonanza we both along with my mom tried and enjoyed. It was sweet but not overpowering like candy can be. I even took the package to work with me lol. The Salted Caramel Pretzel Pops did not fair as well with our taste pallets. It was dry and the caramel flavor was not strong enough unfortunately.

I first tried these earlier this year and they’re one of my staple. I’m guilty of having Ziploc baggies of them in the bottom of my purse, as silly as it sounds. These come in a variety of flavors like Lightly salted, Wasabi and Smokehouse BBQ. I stick with the whole natural flavor. You can also find smaller packages of these at your local gas station.

Ocean Spray Craisins are a good option if you’re looking for a healthy and sweet snack. There is a less sugar option available but I couldn’t find it in time for this post.

This is my go to breakfast food if I am running late to work. There’s nothing like warm oatmeal, especially in the cooler months. Simply add water and pop into the microwave for 1 minute.

I know I know…you’re probably thinking this is an odd option for this list but I’m a fan of this pre-packaged tuna.

Me and my taste testing committee (my boyfriend and mom) tried this mix. It was pretty tasty. The only negative thing is you would probably need to eat about 3 of these pre-portioned packages to really fill sustained for a good amount of time.

I must admit my knowledge of coffee is very limited. Even with limited knowledge on the subject I know that instant coffee of this type probably isn’t a good idea. My boyfriend and mom drink coffee regularly so I gave it to them to try. Neither one of them were pleased with it. They said it lacked flavor and the true aroma of coffee. Needless to say this was a “No go”.

Of course I had to leave you with something sweet. The Blue Bunny single-serve ice creams are perfect for conquering your sweet tooth without going over board. It even comes with a tiny spoon for convenience.
Of course there are plenty of convenient snack options out there. You really have to go with what you like best. But most importantly I have to mention the importance of staying hydrated. It’s very rare to not find me with a water bottle close.
I hope you enjoyed the post. What are your snack favorites? Comment below!
