Things To Do In Denver CO

Things to Do in Denver, CO (1)

Hey everyone!

David and I were dying to travel west for the first time! We finally got the opportunity last weekend. We took a three-day weekend trip to Denver Colorado. The town is very beautiful with a laid back atmosphere. There are some cool things to do in Denver.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is a wonderful place to take the family. There were interesting things to see. If you’re not really into taxidermy than I wouldn’t encourage you to visit (just being honest).

The Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a Denver staple. It’s very easy to get to, which is nice for families. The area is beautiful and has very scenic views. It’s open to the public (free of charge) all the time unless there is a performance scheduled.

  • Downtown Denver

Downtown Denver is busy, but not in an obnoxious way. People and vehicles are rushing about but there is no feel that you’re going to get run over (if that makes any sense, lol). The architecture in Downtown Denver seems somewhat modern and vintage all at the same time. It’s cool to see the tourists interacting with the locals in downtown as well.

  • Larimer Square

Larimer Square is a great place to find food and shopping in Denver. The Union Station is a great place to grab a bite to eat, catch the train or hook up to some free Wi-Fi. The streets in Larimer Square are pedestrian friendly so that allows for easy access to and from restaurants and shops.

We had an awesome time in Denver! The people were friendly and weather was beautiful. There are plenty of other options available for your entertainment while in Denver like zip lining, amusement parks, medical and recreational marijuana, the zoo, professional sporting events and malls. Take your time and enjoy this laid back city.
