Kickin It In the Woods – Our hike in Redbud Valley Nature Preserve

Hey y’all! I apologize for my absence. The only excuse I have is the holidays are slowly approaching and that means additional “To Do” lists at work and home. A few Saturdays ago David and I visited the Redbud Valley Nature Preserve here in Oklahoma.

The location is a part of the Oxley Nature Center which is in conjunction with the Tulsa Zoo. The trails are open from 7 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week. The grounds are very well kept but nature is still well preserved as is. The scenery is so peaceful and pretty.

Due to the amount of bugs, snakes and other creatures that you may find on the trails it is probably a good idea to visit the nature preserve in cooler weather. So get out there, bundle up and enjoy it if you’re in the area. If not I’m sure a quick Google search will direct you to the nearest trail or park.
