Hey y’all hey!! Another month is in the books! Summer is creeping upon us. My month was filled with fun times with fun people. I hope you enjoy these photographic mementos.
I went to the Renaissance Festival in Muskogee, OK with family. We had a nice time. There was so much to see. The festival is the entire month of May, but if you missed it this month don’t worry because it will be back next year.
David participated in his 4th powerlifting meet. He performed very well and exceeded his own expectations. I was so proud of him. He even walked away with a sparkly new trophy.
I attended my family reunion in Tahlequah, OK. It was nice to see relatives that I haven’t seen in awhile. I also swung by my alma mater Northeastern State University.
The International Natural Hair Meet Up Day was May 30th. The meet-up at the Tulsa location was hosted by Resilient Soul at Foolish Things Coffee in downtown Tulsa. There were vendors and professional hair stylists at the event.
In my opinion the highlight of the event was the natural hair panel. A few different topics were discussed and everyone who participated (whether on the panel or in the crowd) seemed to have valid opinions.
On Sunday David and I stopped by Freebirds located in Southern Hills of Tulsa. We had a good meal and great conversation. I like Freebirds because it has a laid back feel and pretty good burritos. And yes…that is the Statue of Liberty riding a motorcycle lol.
